<p>Of course I have (had!) overweight: 250 pounds and 5.8 feet tall. I tried to use many ways to lose my fat. I can say that many of them are just soap bubbles, because they didn&#8217;t work at all.</p>
<p>If I began to do some exercises like working out, I got the appetite only. As a result I added some pounds to my weight. It&#8217;s no difference if I use treadmill and bicycle or dumbbells and barbell.</p>
<p>However I noticed that my bicycle gives me more appetite. I think it&#8217;s going on because I have a lot of breathing clean air. That&#8217;s why I hanged my bicycle on the hooks in the garage and don&#8217;t touch it more.</p>
<p>What is the real way to lose the fat? Now I know the answer. But it&#8217;s not a simple way. If you want to lose weight quickly be sure this way is not for you. But it really works at least for me.</p>
<p>First of all you must remember &#8211; single methods or ways do NOT work. If you wish to be like Princess Kate Middleton you must change your lifestyle completely.</p>
<p>This does not mean that you have to use silver dishes and visit kings and presidents. I want to say that you have to forget about burgers, French fries, cakes and so one.</p>
<p>Be sure Kate Middleton don&#8217;t have a big burger for dinner. She doesn&#8217;t keep some nuts or chips in her purse . Otherwise she would be like a&#8230; like you! Do you agree with me?</p>

<p>If you&#8217;re a man you can take as an example Matthew McConaughey or Ryan Reynolds it doesn&#8217;t matter. The main thing you need to know you have to change your lifestyle completely.</p>
<p>I continue. Well there are two principles to lose your weight and get slim figure. You have to change your diet and in the same time you have to work out. They work only together.</p>

<p>Sounds just like our workplaces where effort is expended to provide either a product or a service.  Look closer at a gym and one can learn seven lessons in leading self as well as others for performance improvement.<span id="more-762"></span></p>
<p>Lesson #1:  Everyone needs a baseline.</p>
<p>How can you track improvement if you have no idea what is your current capability or baseline? In a gym weight is but one measure of physical ability. You also consider body fat, inches, how many repetitions of a specific exercise and more.  The truth is, you might not lose a pound but become stronger and leaner by muscle development.  What are at least three different baselines that would be good benchmarks for improvement? For example: What is your current number of client contacts that you make?  What is your current level of quality reports you generate?  You get the idea!</p>
<p>Lesson #2:  To get results, you must vary your routine.</p>
<p>I see gym members who have been coming for months and yet there is no sign of any improvement. What I discovered is that their bodies plateaued and the muscles simply remember the exercise and is no longer challenged.  We can do the same thing in our work. There’s comfort in the familiar but there is also little room for improvement.  How might you change your &#8220;routine&#8221; and try a new way of getting a task completed?  Perhaps you’ll even discover that your routine contains activities that can be discarded or given away!</p>
<p>Lesson #3:  Plan your hardest work for your optimum time.</p>
<p>Everyone has a time of day in which they feel most alert and engaged. To the degree that you can put your most difficult work within YOUR best time slot, do it. I am pretty darn useless after 6pm but I can rise and shine in the early morning which is also my exercise time.</p>
<p>Lesson #4:  A workplace workout buddy keeps you honest.</p>
<p>Think of this as your accountability partner. In a gym, a trainer serves that role: watching, recording, and assisting with specific exercises. In the workplace, many of us serve as coaches to senior level executives. These executives need someone to &#8220;keep them honest&#8221; and focused. We can all find and use an accountability buddy.</p>
<p>Lesson #5: Know how much time you can take off without losing your &#8220;tone&#8221;.</p>
<p>It’s a hard fact of life but stop exercising and within three weeks, our bodies lose muscle tone. Doesn’t seem fair and yet, the same thing is true of work. Stay out of the business for months, and it will be harder to jump back in. Whether you are on sabbatical, seeking a new position, or waiting for an employment contract, stay engaged. Read. Network. Practice. Unless, of course, you have decided to retire and move to Fiji.</p>
<p>Lesson #6:  Be clear on exactly what you can really do.</p>
<p>Try as hard as I might, there is no way my body will do a split, a handstand, or a cartwheel.  I watch one man who can move his feet like greased lightening in a kick box routine that would have me tripping myself and everyone next to me. However, I am strong with weights, cardio step, and climbing mountains.</p>
<p>In the workplace, what do you HONESTLY know is NOT within your forte and never will be? If cold calls make your skin crawl, then learn how to ask for referrals from people whom you already know.  If you are interpersonally intelligent but math leaves you clueless, don’t apply for an accounting position.</p>
<p>Lesson #7: Strength, endurance and flexibility are all important.</p>
<p>Just as these three qualities are a hallmark of a good workout program, so too are they critical for effective career development.  Strength of character and a will to learn provide a breeding ground for success. Endurance allows you to be in the great game of work for the long haul. Without flexibility, rigidity steps in and many an organization has vanished because of outmoded thinking, dated systems, and legacy procedures. <p>Drastic times call for drastic measures, so we will have to take some life changing action.It is never too late or too early to start a permanent weight loss lifestyle change. Why do we have and consume so much food while others around the world have none? The answer to that question is another article but the over production of food in North America is one reason why we are so fat!</p>

Chose one and go with it.Resist the temptation of buying into every weight reducing hype.Just because you might have failed at whatever efforts you took in the pass does not mean it will be the same in the future.</p>

If your body requires 2500 calories a day to function and perform all it&#8217;s various physical activities, (bear in mind that most Americans have sedentary jobs) but you consume 3500 calories each day, then what happens to the 1000 extra calories?</p>
<p>Well your body will use what it needs and save the rest as fat in the body, to be converted back to energy when the body needs it. But for most your body will never need it, so it stays with them for ever.</p>

<p>When trying to get a flat stomach people focus too much time directly training their abs. 1000s of crunches WILL NOT directly burn belly fat. There is no such thing as SPOT REDUCTION. If you have love handles, doing continuous side bends WILL NOT burn the fat from this area. Doing direct ab training CAN strengthen your core (when done with proper form) but it does not create enough of a metabolic fat burning response to actually burn the layer of body fat that covers your abs.</p>
<p>The funny thing is we all have abs. The majority of people just have layers of body fat covering them. Therefore, the number one way to get six pack abs is to reduce overall body fat. Losing body fat is all about combining a proper nutrition plan (abs are made in the kitchen), a solid full body workout program that creates a fat burning metabolic and hormonal response, and LASTLY, a core strengthening and sculpting abdominal program.</p>
<p><strong>Should Men Train Differently Than Females To Get Six Pack Abs?</strong></p>
<p>The best exercises to get six pack abs and reduce body fat are not gender specific. Compared to males, typically females lift weights less frequently and with less intensity (if at all). I always recommend females incorporate more intense lifting sessions, using heavier weight, if they want to get a flat stomach. Females tend to be afraid to lift heavy weight because they don&#8217;t want to grow big muscles. Well guess what&#8230;females don&#8217;t produce enough natural testosterone to build large bulky muscles like men. By lifting heavy, females will develop more toned muscle (not bulk). And the great thing about muscle&#8230;it burns fat. So guess what ladies, the more muscle you have, the less body fat you will have. It&#8217;s that simple.</p>
<p><strong>What Form Of Cardio Should I Be Doing To Burn Fat?</strong></p>
<p>Typically people waste way too much time doing slow/steady pace cardio. Since your goal is to lose fat, HIIT cardio, in combination with a full body resistance training program, is the quickest way to do this. If your goal is to quickly lose fat, stop thinking about your fat burning zones and the amount of calories burned DURING the workout. Think BIG PICTURE. The combination of a full body resistance training program and HIIT cardio creates the greatest metabolic response in your body (so you&#8217;ll actually be burning more fat after your workout as well). Remember &#8220;high intensity&#8221; is all relative to your specific heart rate levels. So if you&#8217;re a beginner, a high intensity interval may just be a brisk walk as long as it elevates your heart rate to the correct zones. Therefore, HIIT can be completed by people regardless of their fitness level.</p>
<p><strong>Are Sit Ups Bad For You?</strong></p>
<p>Everyone seems to have their own opinion on sit ups. Some say they aren&#8217;t good for the spine, others say they are the best exercise for overall abdominal development. To be honest, I&#8217;m on the fence. I don&#8217;t recommend doing 200 sit ups every day but I do incorporate them into my programs. Like other muscle groups, it&#8217;s important to train your abs with variety.</p>
<p><strong>Should I Train My Abs Everyday?</strong></p>
<p>Even if you&#8217;re not directly training your abs, a full body workout program containing compound exercises like squats and deadlifts require a lot of core stabilization. This means you&#8217;ll still be strengthening your abs whether you know it or not. Another thing about your abdominals is they&#8217;re made up of muscle fibers that can quickly repair themselves. So unlike other major muscle groups, like the chest and legs, your abdominal muscles don&#8217;t need 24-48 hours of recovery time.</p>
<p>So technically, yes you can train your abs everyday but just be aware, that by following a full body workout program, you&#8217;re already getting a good abs workout. In the beginning, focus more of your time and energy on completing a full body resistance training program with lots of intensity. Then, when you notice you&#8217;re really starting to lose belly fat, you can directly train your abs for 5-10 minutes (with no breaks) after each workout.</p>
<p><strong>What Is The Most Important Factor In Getting Six Pack Abs?</strong></p>
<p>Without a doubt, it has to do with your diet. I have the following quote printed on my kitchen wall, &#8220;Abs are made&#8230;in the kitchen.&#8221; I believe abs are 80% diet and 20% training. The most important thing about your diet is it has to be maintainable and something you can incorporate as a lifestyle&#8230;not just a short-term fad diet.</p>
<p>Here are a few more quick tips to lose belly fat and <a href="http://www.awakentheabswithin.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">get six pack abs</a>:</p>
<p><strong>1. Focus your diet on consuming foods that are whole and in their natural state:</strong> You&#8217;d be amazed at how much better you&#8217;ll look and feel just by getting rid of the processed and packaged foods out of your system.</p>
<p><strong>2. Eat More High Quality Protein:</strong> I could go on and on about this but here&#8217;s the quick rationale.</p>
<p><strong>A)</strong> protein builds muscle, muscle increases your metabolism, and muscle incinerates fat.</p>
<p><strong>B)</strong> protein has a much higher thermic effect than carbs and dietary fat, meaning your body uses up a lot of the protein&#8217;s calories (up to 30%) just to digest it.</p>
<p><strong>C)</strong> protein keeps you satiated longer so you&#8217;ll end up eating less calories.</p>
<p><strong>3. Focus On Consuming Carbs That Are High In Fiber: </strong>vegetables, fruits, and unrefined sprouted whole grains are all high in fiber. Two major causes of body fat are overconsumption refined sugar and unnatural trans fat (more on trans fats below). Foods like white bread, white rice, and white pasta are all considered processed and unnatural foods. Choose carbs that have more than 5 grams of fiber and less than 5 grams of sugar. An even more restrictive approach is to only consume carbs that have 3 grams of fiber per 10 grams of carbs. Consuming foods high in fiber will also slow the glycemic response of insulin (the fat storing hormone) within your blood stream.</p>
<p><strong>4. Consume Healthy Fats: </strong>as hard as it is to believe, healthy fats are your friend and can help you fight fat! Healthy fats are key to maintaining hormone levels and can keep you satiated, thus reducing cravings. Sources of healthy fats include extra virgin olive oil, avocados, fish and fish oil, nuts, natural nut butters, and organic eggs and meat.</p>
<p>As mentioned above, stay away from all foods containing unnatural trans fats and high fructose corn syrup. Ingredients to watch out for include, hydrogenated oil, margarine, shortening, high fructose corn syrup, and glucose-fructose. These ingredients are mainly used in processed, packaged and deep fried foods.</p>
